8/14/2007 - Ehren Ebbage

A journeyman guitarist and singer-songwriter hailing from Eugene, Oregon, Ehren Ebbages music falls somewhere in-between Bruce Springsteen and Lyle Lovett. His lyrics are sincere, heartfelt and articulate, and his sweet and solid guitar playing has made him a sought-after band mate and session musician. (From 2004-2007, Ebbage was a member of fellow Eugenian Justin Kings band, providing complementary guitar and backup vocals on the groups first two EPs and debut album.) His debut EP, Bottlerocket, features six memorable tracks and is available through SnoCap. These songs cover a broad range of human emotion, from the angst of doomed love in 'Bury that Feeling' to the declaration of independence in 'Im Not Sorry' to the jubilation of theEPs title track. And while the recording conveys the weight of his work effectively, his live performances reveal additional charms: humor and an engaging stage presence. Come see Ehren live at CD WORLD in an exclusive acoustic show on August 14th at 12 noon for free! He'll opening for Johnny Lang and Los Lonely Boys later that night at the Cuthbert in Eugene!
